Classes

Humbition: The Paradox of 21st-Century Leadership: Humbition is the foundational class for The Heart and Soul of Leadership course. Humbition is a leadership model based on six behaviors of humble people: self-awareness, both/and thinking, open-mindedness, vulnerability, appreciation, and generosity. I share the research that outlines the benefits of each behavior and you’ll learn how to apply them at home and at work immediately.

Mindfulness: Winning at Ministry and Life: This class discusses how mindfulness and healthy productivity behaviors can help you successfully navigate the work-life paradox and build a productive and sustainable career. After all, what’s the purpose of building something you can’t sustain?

OKRs: OKRs, which is short for Objectives and Key Results, are a tool for creating and executing strategy. OKRs were born in Silicon Valley and are the most popular strategy and execution process in the world today. I’m a certified OKR trainer, and through this course, I’ve helped over 40 people write an OKR they’re now using in their ministries. I’ve worked with two congregations, Redeemer, Redwood City, and St. Matt’s, Rocklin, who use OKRs. The OKR class consists of one lecture session and one personal coaching session with me. Together, we complete your OKR.

Operational Coaching: In this class, you learn that asking questions instead of giving advice and sharing your opinion is a powerful way to lead and grow your teammates and interact with your leaders.

Conflict Management: How to Have a Good Fight: Conflict is a given in any organization, but making enemies during it is an option. In this class, you’ll learn how to use Tuckman’s Model of Group Development to identify the early stages of conflict and leverage it to have open and honest discussions by creating psychological safety. This always leads to better and more creative problem-solving and prevents small conflicts from growing into warfare. This class has two sessions.

Finally, everyone who takes the course receives my monthly newsletter and free access to a yearly webinar. This year’s webinar is about how to grow Productivity Habits. It’s scheduled for April.
